Since publishing So Long, Shakespeare last week, I’ve been really touched by the word-of-mouth support I’ve received in publicising the ebook. It was exciting to make the novel available at last, but that was nothing compared to the thrill of seeing it take flight.
Among the most gratifying moments was a friend’s beautifully-executed piece of guerilla marketing (right), which saw the novel foregrounded in the Hampstead branch of Waterstone’s: the modern day equivalent of the author and his acolytes marching in and stacking copies of his book at the front of the store.
In related news, for those who don’t have a Kindle, and would rather not use free Kindle apps, the novel is now available for £1.99/$2.99 on iTunes, to be read on iPhones and iPads using Apple’s iBook software.
iKnow: it’s all a bit iMuch.
